Izaac B.

Life growing up was pretty normal and I feel like I had a regular childhood. I had a loving and hard-working dad that always made sure to provide for me and I am thankful for that. Looking back, I feel that my addiction began when I was in the Air Force drinking excessive amounts of alcohol. Drinking led to the use of other substances and ultimately led to opiate abuse. I used drugs and alcohol as a means of escape and a way to run from life’s problems. I experienced some hard things and substances were a way of coping. Before coming into Teen Challenge, I did not have a job or a place to live. I was completely hopeless. I am here at Teen Challenge to be transformed into a new creation. I was tired of the life that I was living and I trust that the Lord will change me while I am here.
