My upbringing was okay. I experienced a lot of military-enforced discipline and abuse from my father, which had an impact on me as a child. My addiction started around the age of 11 and I was using a needle by the time I was 16 years old. I used drugs to hide the pain that I was in, as well as to fit in with those around me. I wanted to be accepted. Bad relationships and extensive time in jail led up to me finally coming into Teen Challenge. I am here to live a life that does not involve a cell. I am so tired of running. I hope to draw close to Christ and fully understand and believe that I am worth something great.
