My childhood was pretty fun. I was involved in my church and I was able to be a kid and do things such as four wheeling, fishing, and camping. I was raised up in a Christian household and I had a good loving relationship with both of my parents. I got pregnant in high school and I ended up losing contact with my daughter’s father. That’s when everything in my life shifted. I soon fell into postpartum depression and during that time I started experimenting with hallucinogens and alcohol. Using drugs and alcohol helped me when I needed to interact with individuals or be in large crowds. By being here at the Home of Hope I want to learn how to be a mother again to my daughter and how I can become a functioning member of society again.
