Growing up I was abused sexually and beaten as a child. My addiction began when I started drinking at 18 and then in 1993 I stopped. I felt like I misused alcohol because it helped me feel like I belonged. I could hide from my abuse. Satan had me believe I could do whatever I wanted to do. A recent crisis that happened to me was I was finding myself deeper into pornography and lying to God, ultimately I was running from God and the truth. I came here to Teen Challenge because I want to know the Bible and “The Word”, and having a relationship with Him is what I’m pursuing. I hope to have restoration with my family while I’m in this program.
