Before coming here to the Home of Hope I was falling deep into addiction. I never had a problem with getting sober, but I never stayed sober for very long. I had a troubled childhood and was moved around a lot. As a result of that instability, meth & cocaine became a distraction for me which brought me more trouble, I became more broken each day and felt totally alone. I started to resent God when he didn’t answer my prayers. In coming to the Home of Hope I realized my drug use and troubled childhood no longer have to define my future. One day I hope to become the person I’ve dreamt of being. I also hope to obtain an education that permits me to be eligible to be a marine biologist.
