Growing up I had a good childhood. We were in church on Sundays, but church never made it to my home. My parents divorced at the age of 14. My addiction began at the age of 23. I lived a sinful life and always stayed in trouble with the law because of it. I used pills to block everything out and it didn’t serve a purpose. I just did it because I could, following in my brother’s footsteps. I came to Teen Challenge to draw closer to God and allow him to be the leader of my life, wanting restoration in my family. While in the program I hope to break a generational curse and remain sober, provide a good and healthy lifestyle for my daughter, and to use strategies that I’ve learned.
