My parents spoiled me as a child, but I didn’t experience much love from my family aside from that. My addiction began when I was 17 years old. I used substances to fill a void of love, self-acceptance and friendship that I was missing. A recent crisis that brought me here to Teen Challenge was a break up, which led to using drugs and alcohol. I couldn’t bring myself to forgive and be forgiven. I am here to restore my life, to be free of drugs and alcohol, and to learn how to love and be loved. I hope to be closer to God so that I can be freed of addictions in my life and to create a better foundation for love in my life.
