Tim

August 18th, 2018. I was hopelessly addicted to anything that made me not feel and could bring me temporary happiness to cover what I perceived to be a permanent wound. I was facing 20 years in Tennessee prison. Lost, hopeless, with no future in front of me. God had other plans. A door opened for me to come into Teen Challenge at the Tucson Men’s Center. Teen Challenge facilitated me having a relationship with Christ and gave me a hope for my future. I’m not the same person I once was, I am a new creation. I believe God uses Teen Challenge as vessel you help anyone struggling and can attest to the power of Christ once you give yourself to him. I’m almost 21 months sober, the longest I’ve ever been. Being able to use my past to help others that are struggling, has been the best thing to ever happen to me. Being able to tell my testimony to students in the program help me realize I’m not the person I once was. I am now the Public Relations coordinator for the Tucson Men’s Center and I am excited to see what doors God will open for me in the future. Overcoming addiction isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. At the end of the day I owe it all to God and Teen Challenge.
