Growing up I was always blamed for the things in my family going wrong with my siblings.  I suffered with self-harm and the environment was abusive.  In my early teens the stress of life and my home environment became too much.  I started experimenting using drugs/alcohol to cope with the feelings that overwhelmed me.  I knew this was not a good situation, especially with me being a new mom.  I decided to come to Home of Hope so me and my child could have a safe environment and I could begin to build a solid foundation for both of us.  While I’m here, I’m eager to learn and grow in a relationship with the Lord which in turn will allow me to be an even better mother to my daughter.
