Robert R.

Life growing up was relatively normal. I came from a good family, I was involved in track and football, and even had opportunities to play collegiate sports. My addiction initially began in my early teenage years. I started abusing Xanax and using cocaine. I got mixed in with the wrong types of people, and was really just trying to have a good time. However, eventually I became addicted to the substances. Just prior to coming into Teen Challenge, I was on the verge of facing legal consequences and going back to prison. I originally wanted to come into the program to become clean and sober, but now I have a deep desire to grow closer to the Lord. I desire to become the man that the Lord has called me to be and live in and through His promises.
